We are thrilled to be participating in the Great Lakes Gaming Convention at the beautiful Dow Diamond in Midland, MI. This is an eSports convention organized by The Great Lakes Loons on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th. There are many facets to this weekend of fun, including high school and collegiate competitions in games such as Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., and Mario Kart, amongst others. We at The Stadium, however are in charge of organizing Trading Card Games!

11:00 AM - Magic: The Gathering Modern Competitive $500

12:00 PM - Riftbound Origins Win-A-Box
This is a FREE event with a prize of at least one booster box of Riftbound Origins! If we get 17 or more players, we're adding in a second box to distribute across the rest of the top 8! Full details and registration for the event can be found here.


SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH:


11:00 AM Pokemon TCG $500 Standard Tournament

ON-DEMAND (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY):



Disney Lorcana - Into the Inklands Pack Rush
This event costs $5 per player. Each player gets two booster packs of Into the Inklands, and builds a blind deck out of them to play a quick best of three games. The winner of the match receives one of several promotional cards. This is a great way for new players to build up a collection of cards for cheap and learn more about playing the game!


Magic: The Gathering - Jumpstart!
Two players each purchase any two booster packs of Jumpstart from our vending table as entry to this event, and play a best of three match with the contents of the packs! The winner receives an additional Jumpstart pack as a prize. This is a great way to check out loads of new cards and build your collection in a fun and engaging way, or kill some time before your next event in the convention. We'll have the following Jumpstart sets available, while supplies last:

Want to learn how to play any of these fun games? We're running free demo stations for all of the games we have events for, plus CookieRun: Braverse, One Piece TCG, and the newly released Palworld!

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Doors each day open at 10:00 AM.
  • While we, and perhaps other vendors in attendance, will be accepting cash payments, Dow Diamond is otherwise a Cashless Venue. This means that food and official merchandise sold by the venue itself will only accept card payment.
  • We are in the upstairs club section. There is an elevator and stair access to reach us, where you will also find a full bar. Alcohol is not permitted in the play space for Pokemon.
